How to Fall Asleep Fast

What’s worse than waking up on the wrong side of the bed? Waking up after only a few hours of sleep! All day you feel like a zombie walking around, detached from your school or office works.

Hopefully, you’d fall asleep as soon as you hit the bed later on at night, just to catch up. But don’t get your hopes too high because it might happen again! Not being able to fall asleep as soon as you hit the bed can be a recurring thing that haunts you like a nightmare each time.

Worrying is worsening

The more you think about falling asleep fast, the more getting to Dreamland becomes harder. You keep turning ‘round and ‘round in bed while awaiting for sleepiness to kick in, only to end up noticing that you have to get out of bed in a couple of hours.

You try every single thing that people say can help you get some sleep right away, but to no avail. It’s just frustrating that other people are already snoozing while you are gnashing your teeth!

Suffering from sleep-lacking

I know how it feels because I myself was a victim for so many times in the past. And what made it worse back then is it usually happened when I needed to face killer college exams the next day! I was staring blankly at the paper, thinking of what’s the most convincing way of crying in front of my professor later on to let me retake the exam.

But it wasn’t only my schooling that suffered tremendously from my sleeping problem. I was irritable all day and all my buddies were having a hard time putting up with me. My relationship with my girlfriend also started to suffer – she was thinking I was eyeing someone else that’s why I had no time for her.

Horror in and out

The nasty feeling of not getting enough sleep at night was backed up by an even nastier physical appearance. Dark circles started appearing around my eyes, and my face had this overall haggard look. My skin started to become spotty and dry too.

I know this is the least of my concerns as a man, but maybe not for most women. And they also should be on the lookout for weight gain, because not getting enough sleep makes one feel hungry all the time!

A way out of the nightmare

But, fortunately for you, there is an effective way out. I know a few tricks that will end your nightmare you’d wanted to get rid of for so long now. For instance: did you know that worrying about not falling asleep fast will really make you wide awake in bed longer? And there are many other pitfalls you might be doing right now, which contribute to your sleeping problem.

If my tricks worked for me, they’d surely work for you either. I have everything – from the downright absurd to those backed by scientific researches. It’s about time you stop being a worrywart over not falling asleep fast, and enjoy catching some Z’s the minute you hit the bed.

As I’m approaching my senior year of year high school, I once again face the dreaded insomnia that I was thrilled to say goodbye to years ago. There must be some factors as to why it’s returning in my life, but I’ve yet to figure out what they are. As a direct result I, more often than not, will stay on the computer until six AM or so. If I don’t use the computer at all, it will culminate in me ‘tossing and turning’ until I look at my own alarm clock and think “I need to be up in an hour or so!” I have found that using the computer can at least keep my mind stimulated (while I study math or write some code, I’m a programmer). Sometimes I will play an instrument, my guitar or keyboard and sometimes that can lull me to a more restful state of mind, but I don’t always have access to my instruments. I’m looking forward to reading material from you about how to combat this unwelcome nighttime nuisance.

I have been taught by a friend how to fall harmlessly unconscious by following these simple steps.

Make sure you have enough room so if you fall backwards your head will safely make contact with your pillow for the bed.

Curl yourself up into a ball so that your feet are still keeping you balanced.

Breathe in and out heavily for

… breathe in and out heavily for 2:30 minutes

Stand up and cover your mouth and nose and hold your breathe for as long as you can

When you feel slightly dizzy and your vision goes odd, take one more quick breathe in and hold out for as long as you can…

Works for me!

Hey Jack, so I trust tried your method and I blacked out haha. I was fine but i can see how this would work. I did get very sleepy and at the same time forgot what I just did! Works but “practice it first” so you can know your limits.
